Reid and Riege Wins Land Use Case in Connecticut Appellate Court

Mary Mintel Miller and Jeffrey Kaplan, attorneys in the firm's Litigation practice, recently won a victory on behalf of firm client, First Congregational Church of Lebanon, Conn. The Connecticut Appellate Court ruled that a local historical society lacked standing to bring a quiet title action against the Church that was aimed at restricting the Church’s buildings and the land surrounding those religious structures. The Appellate Court ruling upheld a lower court ruling in favor of the Church. The historical society intends to appeal the ruling.
